misfire? (yes i saw the other thread)

hi everyone,

before i begin, let me just say that yes, i've searched, and yes i've seen the other recent thread on misfiring, but as my problem seems different and i don't want to hijack someone elses thread i've decided to start my own...

anyway, while riding the bike through some moderate twisties today i was moderately on the throttle at @ 7-8k rpm when all of a sudden the bike kinda "popped" on me momentarily - i'm assuming a misfire

this is the first time this has ever happened to me and i couldn't replicate it on the way home; as i'm kinda anal about my bike i'm a little concerned - any thoughts?

BTW - 2005 w/ 1250mi.; doesn't get beat too hard and hasn't been over 11k rpm yet; run only prem. gas from Chevron...

dont worry about it, it just hit a flat spot which youre engine went rich. and since you have been riding it, the rich exhaust ignited on the exhaust.

but if it keeps on doing it. your timing has been off. which i have no idea why it should coz like you said, it has never been over 11k rpm (you sure??)

if it keeps on it, you should get it checked out, if not, and its a one time thing, not much harm done, if theres any.

08 CBR600RR black and red for now, will be pearl white in a few weeks.
