Alarm question..

So I have a Viper alarm on my RR, but the problem Im having is it drains the battery completely if its on for like 3 days. The person I bought the bike from said he thinks it was wired wrong when he had it done but never bothered to get it looked at, just never used it. Id like to use it but dont wanna have to worry about if the bike will start or not every day or few if i dont get out ot ride. What Im wondering is is it normal to kill the battery in that short of time or is there definatly a wiring issue? It was installed by a shop. Why would it drain it that quick though? I know my car alarm could be on for weeks at a time although that battery is much bigger..

Any help appreciated

My old bike had a Suzuki Alarm and it never drained that fast. Try going to the Viper website and ask them.

I think that they design bike alarms to draw less power than car alarms do. Try charging your battery (You may have a weak battery that needs to be charged or replaced) Remember our charging systems are not that strong so it doesnt take much to drain them.... If you have access to a multimeter check the voltage on you battery. It should read anywhere from 13.2 - 12.5 volts, Under that and you need to charge.
