Shake on Grips while breaking on slow speeds
I have had a CBR600RR 2007 for a couple of years , done a bit more than 15k Km. Sadly i had an accident and the bike was completely destroyed. Nevertheless the problem i am about to describe below was one of my headaches with her and never actually found the reason behind it. I would go as far as to say that i was a bit relieved that it was completely destroyed cause i would finally get away of this nightmare and get a new bike without the problem.
I bought a CBR600RR 2009 (used with 11k Klm) this time and sadly the problem is here too.
While gradually braking at low speeds (<20 Km/h to full stop) i feel a powerfull and fast vibration on the grips. I do not feel it on the Brake Lever (Not the slightest move on the break lever). It feels like it is coming from the top of my steering wheel even though that could be a bit misleading.
It is not something that happens every single time i pull the brakes. Nevertheless it is happening quite often to be extremely annoying.
I have managed to keep it happening for about 2-3 meters before full stopping. Simply by pulling a lot less the brake lever , and not releasing it or pressing harder , the moment i feel it starting to happen. If i release the brake it instantly goes away , if i brake harder due to being with less than 10 Km/h it will simply full stop the bike.
The vibration does not feel natural or anything that would be "common" on a bike. Its not only that you feel the vibration , you can also hear it too. Every time it happens i get the feeling that something bad is going to happen in the next few seconds.
1) Tyres are brand new (Bridgestone Battlax BT-016)
2) Brake Disks are not worn or warped
3) It happens only on low speed breaking , never while cruising.
4) There are times that it can be heard. Its a clean rattling sound with a bit of fraction.
5) Upon changing the old tyres to the new ones my mechanic told me he checked everything and found nothing at all.
6) My mechanic insists that the bike is fine.
Any idea would be greatly appreciated. I am devastated that my nightmare followed me to this bike too. Its like someone is playing a very sick joke on me...
