Diagnosis help

Hey guys, got a 07 600rr with 27,600 miles on it. Lately I've been hearing some strange noises. In 6th at 7K and above rpm I get a weird high pitch sound. I'm wondering if it's time for a new clutch or if you have any ideas what it could be. Also have hyperflow dual exhaust. Not sure if that would have anything to do with it

How do you properly go about measuring the chain slack. Is there a special tool or ruler?

I've never had a clutch problem. What does that feel/sound like?

A clutch problem would be: My clutch doesnt work when I pull the lever, my clutch slips when I give the bike more gas, it could be some kinda pilot bearing if our bikes even have those.
