mechanics wisdom needed.

My 06 600rr has been sitting... and sitting... and sitting, for a few years now. I need someone to help me out with these problems.

Bike wont start up. When pressing the the starter switch, bike acts as if it wants to turn over but wont. I would like to know where to start first for troubleshooting.

What needs to be done for maintenance to get it back to riding status? (oil change, air filter, fuel pump, injectors?)

What should I be looking at for dry rot of my tires?

Thanks for any input at all!

Have you tried putting the battery on a trickle charger?

Personally, I'd replace the tires for my peace of mind as well as all the fluids in the bike.
Drain any remaining gas, change the coolant, oil, brake fluid, new spark plugs, air filter, forks, etc.

I'm not a mechanic by any means, but these are just the basic steps. Good luck and keep us posted.

new Battery, coolant, brake fluid, oil and filter, and fresh gas are where I'd start
