Countershaft Sprocket oil seal leak

on my 03 600rr the oil seal behind the counter shaft sprocket is leaking i noticed. Its not the chain lube it is the seal. Do you need to split the engine case to replace it or can it be changed by removing the sprocket and tapping the new one in using a larger sized socket? I have the service manual but I dont' see where it outlines the steps.

Thanks
