Pgm f1 indicator

I'm sure this is dumb ass question but , I noticed today that if I turn the ignition on with the kill switch off , then switch the kill switch to 'on' , and start the engine the f1 indicator stays on , also if I kill the motor which the switch and then put it to run again without touching the key and start the engine it stays on ???
The user manual says 'turn on ignition with run switch on and f1 with disappear after a second ' which is does (and I usually do)
No error codes are shown .

Or am I just stupid?

You should leave the kill switch on at all times. Absolutely no need to turn it on and off.

Also no such thing as a stupid question we all have to learn from somewhere. But don't be afraid to search 1st. Peace out.

My simple build.
