oil pressure light on

I have an 03 cbr600rr, It got dropped by a buddy and im currently rebuilding and modding it cause i wanted to anyway, I replaced the clutch plates and adjusted it. and after putting the crankcase cover back on, the oil pressure light stays on and it only clicks on the solenoid when you hit the ignition. Did i screw up the oil pressure sensor, or is this randomly unrelated? it has plenty of fresh oil. and i can roll start it and it runs fine. A little help here? i will take off the crankcase cover again if i need to, but cant find much in the manual, and don't want to waste my time if it's unrelated. What do you all think?

take oil filler cap off and with engine running, make sure oil is still emitting from rockers. if it isn't switch off imediately, if it is, look for earthed out wire from sender to dash. p.s. don't worry about picking item up for me, guy is going to post it
