Crank but no Start 05 CBR RR

Hey Gentlemen

I am in need of some help. I got a 05 CBR RR that I am putting in a formula car that we are building.

I have bypassed all the sensors (side stand, bank, ignition, start stop, and neutral) it cranks over fine, but will not fire or dump fuel in the hole.

I have checked to see if I have spark and fuel. I have also tested to see if I get signals at the connecters, both systems run on the same ground and are good. The coils are getting powered but the field is not getting closed and making spark.

The area that I am not to sure about is the crank sensor. I was looking at some specs on testing it and it says to make sure you have 0.7V with it disconnected and cranking. I have 0.3V but I am using a normal multi meter and donít know if I need something more sensitive.

The other thing is I have bypassed everything like I said but there still is lots of loose connecters for things like the brake lights and other small things and I donít know if that is preventing things from happening.

I also donít know if this system comes with an alarm.

Thanks for your help gentlemen.

I am guessing you didn't jump the BAS. The unit itself is located on the upper sub wiring harness behind the guages but you probably just removed all this completly. Now the BAS (Bank Angle Sensor) must be jumped down at the main harness or it'll never fire or even prime the fuel rail. I am sorry i dont have my digital manual here at work so i cant show you a schematic on what 2 wires to jump together. If someone else could post up the wiring diagram that would be really helpful for this guy ...

i'll have to agree with apex..sounds like u didn't bypass the bank angle sensor..if u don't have it hooked up correctly it won't allow fuel in the engine..

To bypass the BAS, short the two outmost wires.

^^ Hes gonna need a diagram, color of the wires (i dont think they are still green/white/red down at the main harness) and/or a description to orient himself because the term "outmost" is relative ...

Outtermost on a 3 pin connector is the same regardless of orientation. Maybe I misunderstood what u said

edit: Im sorry, i'm slow. Yea, he's on the main harness now, the subharness is gone.

theres 3 wires to the bank angle sensor on the front sub harness, do you still have em? believe theyre green, red, and white, the red one leave loosh and join the green and white together, that'll bypass the tilt sensor, i did it cuz i stunt my 600rr...

Thanks guys for all the help on my crank but no start problem. The Problem needs a 3.938V Zinard Diode in line with the pink wire going to the ECU to lower the voltage down to less the 10V. This must be something built into the ignition switch and is not shown on the diagram for antitheft reasons.

Thanks again.

You're on the right track, if you take the black plastic cover off the bottom of the ignition there IS a diode there that can easily pop if your messin around w/ the wiring w/ the battery still connected. This happened to an F4i i was workin on about a week ago. I checked EVERYTHING before finding the bad diode and replacin it with a new $0.30 one from Radio Shack haha.

I've got a really bad diagram of that too. If you think it would help let me know.
