Track Crash - frame/rearset weld

I highsided on 7/3 at Road America and my vortex rearset tore off the back side of the top rearset bolt socket on the frame.

I've had a few ideas of fixes floated my way and thought I'd see what experience anyone had with this before I take the bike to the shop this weekend.

Damn, that sucks dude. Your very lucky if that was the only thing that happened to the bike or yourself. Good luck with the fix!

Need a new fairing stay and my fairings need some fiberglass putty but everything held up really well. I would def recommend Optimal Fairings for cost and durability.

I broke my left hand, got 3 pins and a 2 month vacation - which was lucky for a 70-ish mph highside.

Real sorry to hear about your crash, especially the left hand; heal up quick and good luck with the repairs man. Most people say Vortex is rather soft in comparison to other rearsets so I'm a a bit surprised it was able to essentially rip part of the frame off.
