Gears clunking at high RPM

My lever/tranny clunks each gear after shifting over 4k. I don't rev match still getting used to the bike. Hope I'm not damaging the tranny. I is salt just let go off the throttle pull the clutch and shift up and it clunks each time I'm over 4k

Didn't you drop it once. Make sure the shift lever and rod are straight, not bent. Other than that get out of your head and ride the bike

Its prob user error. ie not shifting quick enough and the rpms dip real low. Usually results in a hard shift. Gotta be quick w it

It's normal for 1-2 to clunk sometimes. You just have to push the shift rod like you mean it.

For the rest of the gears, if you can't smoothen out your shifting; get a quick shifter and it'll make it smoother.

Is the clunking bad for tranny. I shift pretty quick. My lever is pretty loud. I never owned a bike before. Idk who else to ask

It won't hurt anything.

You won't hurt your bike. Understand this. Hondas aren't made of glass

Now shut up
