Okay, so long story short here is what I have done: Took off my gas tank, primary and secondary fuel injectors (air box included), throttle body, gas tank (drained the gas tank), clutch cover, clutch (including clutch basket), cylinder head cover (I did this to do my valve clearance checks), took off my exhaust and headers, starter reduction gear, idle gear, driven gear, starter clutch outer assembly, replaced both cam chain guides (the ones next to the driven gear) and this required me to dropped the cam chain off the cam sprockets...
After this was done, I put everything back together (took me a couple weeks due to time), and I tried to start the bike, this is what I got:
Note: I have checked the tilt sensor, the fuel pump is priming, when I try to turn it I see some white smoke coming out of exhaust (not a lot just a little, smells like burnt fuel), and it acts like its trying to start, I have turned my idle screw all the way to the right until it won't move anymore, when I turn the throttle half open it starts to kick like its trying. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!
Well when I put my chain back on, I had the EX IN level with the cylinder head casing, thats about as much as I know about timing so to answer your question, I don't know.
I have primed the system many times before I tried to start the bike by turning the bike ignition on and off.
I pulled one spark plug and checked to see if it was foul and it wasn't, I also connected the coil pack to it while it was out and see if there was a spark, there was. I can't say the spark was big and bright, but there was a spark. I use the NGK Iridium Spark plugs.
So I have checked the fuel rails to ensure fuel is being provided (even if the pump is priming, just have to make sure its getting fuel) then I took out all the spark plugs and ensured there was a spark, I got a bright white spark on all of them (my previous post I didn't have it properly grounded for a good spark). When I try to turn the bike I get white smoke out of my exhaust. Is it possible I somehow came out of time when I did all this work to it? I would surely hope not, but if I did, how would I fix it?
