Going from aftermarket to OEM rear signals

Trying to install OEM rear signals, but it seems like the original connectors on the bike have been cut.

I assume I have to cut the aftermarket signal at the ends, solder, then heat shrink?

That's one way to do it, or you could buy the connectors from Tripage.
