Left Engine Case?

Hey guy's I have a 2005 Cbr I was wondering the left side engine case doesn't have a gasket, and at the time when i took it apart i didn't have any silicon with me. do think I'll have a big leak problem with it or should I take out one more time and apply a little bit of silicon on it..,
PS.., when I oringinally took it off it barely had any silicon on it at all so thats why I thought it wouldn't be that big of a deal let me know if I'm a Retard or not..,
Thanks again!
