ignition switch, pink wire?

Bought a used 04 600rr, was installing my flush mount blinkers the other day and noticed that only two wires were connected on my ignition switch (red, red/black). I looked at the wiring diagram and the pink wire goes to pin 29 on the gray connector on the ECM. Looked through the manual but doesn't really say what the pink wire is for. The bike runs fine though. anyone has a clue?

Pink wire should be visable in the gator clip that is attached to the ignition. Left side of tank.. Pink wire controls your FI start-up.

That's a problem with a blown diode in the ignition cylinder it looks like. This bike has the pink wire completely disconnected from the sounds of it. Although the exact same symptoms should be present, the solution isn't ...

You will hear a whhhhiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnn sound when you hit the run/stop with the key on..
That is the Electronic Fuel Injection priming the engine for startup...
Look on older bikes, you will see a choke..No choke on your bike.. Love it!!!!!
