Gas leak?

Hi,
I have a 03 CBR600RR with about 3500 miles on it. The other day as I was taking off my cover, I noticed there was liquid around my kickstand, even though it was a hot and sunny day. I notice fumes coming out of the rubber tube that ends by the kickstand and that the liquid was gasoline. I noticed my gas level did go down more than it was supposed to since I filled up that morning, but after riding it the problem seemed to go away. No more gas leak from that tube.
Does anyone know what could cause gas to come out of that tube and what that tube is for?

Thanks!

That tube is the fuel run off tube from your gas tank. Some times just jostling the bike around a little bit can cause gas to slash down that tube and drip out down at the kick stand. If it went away its probably nothing to worry about.
