Troubleshoot on killswitch

my killswitch acts up, sometimes it doesnt turn on. it has never shut off on me when its actually on but i am wondering if this problem has happened to anyone else.

i press it and from time to time the killswitch wont engage, it acts as though theres a short.

advice? should i just buy another? should i bypass it

Open it up and clean the contacts. Check the copper connection and make sure it's bent enough to make a good contact on mating side.
