Indicator Wiring

Hi All, went to go home tonight from work and found some w$nker has smashed my right rear indicator and broken it off. Damage is minimal, however it appears to have stripped wiring off the indicator itself (inside). I can't really see how I'm going to be able to rewire it back together, do I have any other options besides new indicator?

Look close enough you can see the wire.

Grrr so annoyed!

Cheers.

The wiring has a connector further upstream. Upgrading turn signals is relatively cheap and replaces the broken part. Flush mounts are less likely to get smashed off by bozos in the future too.

see if you can crimp or solder an extension onto the existing wires then get some flush mounts so it won't happen again. Good luck

Thanks guys. New set of indicators $13. Turns out last set were put on by dodgey mc dodgson brothers.

it was two wires twisted together hahaha. I simply took cthe wire and wrapped it around the new connector lol.

Seems to be working a treat after figuring out which wire was which and having my headlights flashing hahahaha.

Thanks guys. Problem solved.

One last question, noticed the indicators are now flashing faster than they used to...is this a problem?

Cheers.

the new indicator is probably led that has lower resistance than a standard incandescent bulb and thus the faster flash rate. I don't really see it as a problem but you can correct it with a resistor or relay.

OR just get Tripage's multi signal flash relay!
