Idle knob and CCT

I've finally gotten the cbr600 started. I've replaced the idle adjuster but for some reason the metal pin in the idle knob will touch the metal plate but will move it very little I adjusted the plate but it didn't help. I need to replace my cct while I'm adjusting the idle knob. Any ideas?
