CLutch Question Please.

So yes my friend has a bike 24000 miles on it.
he pulls outa first and into 2nd he says it crunches and kinda slips.
what is exactley the problem he thinks he is gonna have to spend 1000 minimum on it he bought it just yesterday 2003 honda cbr 600rr lemme know what you guys think.

Have you guys adjusted the clutch on the cover??? The previous owner might not have done this and it's just loose...

$1000? For that kinda money I'll drive down from boston and replace the clutch for you in an hour.

You can adjust the slack on the clutch cable at the clutch cover, and at the lever itself. The adjuster on the lever is for small adjustments, and you can make bigger adjustments at the clutch cover.

so just to make sure i told him that already but what if its not that.
Again i will explain it he goes into first perfecley then he goes into second but it kinda slips and heitates he says all other gears are perfect.

worst thing is ud prolly have to replace clutch plates not to expensive could prolly replace it over 10 times for 1,000 lol
