Need help. Oil light on!

Hey guys. I recently purchased a 2004 cbr rr from this guy that didnt know too much about it which was kinda shady, but whatever. I have a few problems i need to fix. Here they are.

1. The oil light blinks when i turn the key once. It blinks 2 long and 3 short. Then it blinks 2 long and 4 short. I did a search on here and saw that it was the o2 sensors. Is this true? and if so, what do i do about this?

2. The next problem is that when i turn the bike on, the oil light actually stays on. I have a feeling that might be too much oil in the bike. When i stand the bike straight up (off the kickstand) the oil level is to the top in the window. Isn't it supposed to be between the two lines?

3. The headlights on the bike do not turn on. I want to put HID's on the bike but how do i figure out what is wrong with the headlights?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

George

I always thought that the oil light indicated a loss of pressure, most times meaning low or no oil. So if there is oil in the bike, you might want to have someone check your oil pump or sending unit. Sounds like you may have bigger issues with the oil light blinking and no headlights. Best bet is to take it to a shop and have them do a complete diagnostic on it. There is probably more going on than you know about.

I figured it wouldn't be that big of a problem considering the bike only has
2100 miles on it. It runs very smooth. I had a 2000 cbr 600 f4 and this bike runs much smoother than than that did but maybe because its fuel injected and the f4 was carberated.

the oil light also acts as the FI light, so.. i'd say you need a professional to diagnose the errors in the ECU, or get a service manual

Well, first is it a CA bike? Second, are the O2 sensors installed and wired?

No the bike is not a Cali bike. It is from Texas and is now in NJ. Second, i am not sure if the O2 sensors are installed. There is a slip on pipe on it though. Where would the 02 sensors be located?

Are you sure it's not a full system? The O2 sensors will be in the mid pipe before the muffler. If you don't have them check your MAP sensor on the right side of the Throttle body assembly. The vacuum line may have come loose. Do you have a PCIII installed on this bike?
