Yep 200 is fine. Fan should kick in around 219 or so.

On the freeway, I cruise around 177deg when it's warm (like 70-75deg outside). When it's raining and not too cold (found this out yesterday) it's 162-168deg. In traffic or on city streets, you'll see 219deg+, which is where the fan kicks in. (well, 219.5, I think)

Short answer: You're fine.

yup you are perfectly fine. Make sure the fan kicks in after 220. You will hear it. And that loud thud isn't a problem either!

agreeed both normal things goin on..

ohh and before you ask... yes it is normal for a buzz noise to come on when you have it on RUN and turn the key to on......

also when you twist the throttle the engine gets louder....
