Gauge cluster help

I layed my bike down yesterday. I was not going very fast and my bike did not hit hard but my gauge cluster does not turn on is there a sensor or something that disables it or is it just that fragile that the jolt broke it? Bike starts and signal lights work but no gas gauge, no MPH or mileage. Clock is still on.

I have the same problem with my guages.

I am fixing a wrecked bike and bought a near new speedo off a wreckers.

When plugged in the tacho spins to the stop and back but wont work when the engine is started. All the indicator ect.. signals work but the speedo wont show either.

Clock works so its not a fuse.

No illumination either.

If these are the same symptoms as yours mate then we have the same problem.

I had the same problem. I took it apart and made sure everything was in contact with the circuit board. maybe try that first and see what happens..? i did all of the above before and my tach still didnt spin. so i just bought a new one.

Any news with the speedo silver600rr06?
I sent mine off to get checked and its fine apparently so it must be something in the loom.
I have heard stories on this forum about the ECU effecting the tacho so i hope it has nothing to do with that because our ECU's in Australia have the HISS feature which is basically an immobiliser. The keys/locks/ignition all have to be replace if the ECU is the problem. =BIG BUCKS

I'm hoping its just a bad wire.
Does your neutral light come on? Mine doesnt.
Maybe its a problem with the switch down there??

I have read in another post that the brake light fuse operates the speedo/tacho/fuel gauge. I havent got either of my front or rear brakes wiring hooked up yet so maybe that has something to do with it??
I will check as soon as my gauge cluster comes back from being tested

You have a blown "C" fuse. The service manual clearly shows the clock is on a different circuit from _most_ cluster functions...
