Question Busted radiator on my 06 RR ?HELLLPPPP!

EDIT*Supposed to read Busted radiator on the 06*Hey guys just got stands for the front and rear .I put the bike up on them and noticed a line of coolant leading to a tiny puddle.I took the bike out the night before to a local bike night and didnt notice any issues(overheating, foul smells ect..)So i pulled the right fairing and noticed the coolant level was a tad low so i started the bike and let it get to operating temp(about 180) and looked for leaks.I didnt notice any hoses leaking or any coolant coming from the overflow. However about half way down the radiator i did notice an off white and grean color stain perceding down in a thick line to the oil filter and various other parts under neath it. So i wiped it off the radiator and continued to let it run. I noticed that one spot on the radiator continued to smoke and appera damp.Could this spot have been punctured? What does it sound like to you guys?Im thinking with more speed the pressure could have been enough to spray(or a fast drip) all over the oil filter and headers.Let me know guys. Also the bike only has 1400 miles on it and is still under warranty. Should the radiator(if bad ) be covered?Sorry so long but its my baby!

Regardless of the size of the hole you should go ahead and change that hose
Would the hose be covered under warranty i can not answer that question
simply casue the dealer might consider that part a wear and tear item just like
tires for example . Call your local dealer and check if they would cover it or not
and go from there best of luck

If it doesn't challange you it won't change you

Sorry its my old age :toothy12: i do not think the radiator itself will be covered
same principal wear and tear item call your local dealer and ask
its possible that a radiator shop might be able to patch it you wont know for sure until

1. You find such a shop
2. take the radiator to them to look at it

if its not repairable you are half way there cause
you took it off already , order a new one from
www.ronayers.com

Best of luck and let us know the outcome :01_thumbu

A leaky radiator should be covered under warranty. I believe even the hoses are covered. Generally speaking, if something is a normal maintenance item as prescribed in the factory maintenance chart, it is not covered. In addition, any "wear items" such as brake pads, clutch plates, tires, fluids, etc. are not covered. Stuff that shouldn't normally wear out or break with normal use IS covered.
Either way, just call your local dealership and ask the service manager.
