lic plate light help

hi guys iand i am tryng to install a FE competition werks i cant figure out how to wire the lic plate light. help please or a link

On your stock rear lights wiring, I believe there are three wires. 1 is for brake lights, 1 is for running lights and the other one is plate lights. I can't remember the color code but you can test it by disconnecting them.

i would advise installing a resistor (i used a 25W / 15 Ohm) and waterproofing the hell out of the light, including behind it on the FE mounting plate.

this is the voice of experience talking here. had two lights burn out on me. comp werkes will send you another if you ask nicely.

i got sick of it and bought a waterproof 1/4" led from west marine, plus added the resistor--no probs now!
