My Clutch Cable Snapped!

i was riding normally, and when i pulled in the clutch to shift the cable snapped. so i was stranded on the side of the busiest road in the world! i'm having it towed, but i guess my question is, what do you guys do when you get stranded on the road? and how do you replace the cable? (i'm assuming you can find the cable at the dealership).

my clutch pedal snapped on my 250 ninja. i did a nice getto rig on it and got it into 4th gear. I have to adjust the clutch cable centimeters at a time to get the speed i needed. It was hard but good practice! lol. ps. my boss was the one who broke it

ya clutch cables are pretty simple if you have basic knowledge. Adjust it out so it has some slack and remove from lever then feed it though to the arm on motor. It would be easier w/ fairings off but im sure you could do it w/ them on.

It would suck for the cable to snap while in a coaster wheelie or something like that where your using the clutch alot.

Ive only snapped one cable so far out of all my bikes was ona old quad i had while i was a kid. Cable snapped while i was revving like half throttle gettin ready for take off drag racing a friend, needless to say grab bar was tweaked lol
