Loud clunking from lower engine area now it wont start

I have a 2006 CBR600rr. I took it for one last 5 minute spin before putting it away for the winter. As I was pulling into my drive way I heard a loud clunking noise from the front. The bike shook, then it seemed fne. I thought maybe it was the brakes since it was running fine.

When I pulled it into the garage I noticed some oil leaking from the filter. Just a bit, it has never leaked before. I started it the next day and it was sluggish then died. Now the oil light is on and it wont start. I had changed the oil before winter so it was full. I have not taken it apart yet.... Any ideas as to what happened ??

How full was the oil? Did you over fill?
