"Jerky acceleration?"

Hey Guys,
Im a total newbie to this site but I wanted to get some opinions of guys who have been riding 600RR's for a while. I have a 2005 600RR with 16K on it. Its in really good shape...but when im just cruising around...example...
Ill be in 2nd gear and going about 30 mph and shut off the gas, then get right back on it quick and it whips my neck back. Just seems to have "jerky acceleration" instead of smooth like it used to be when I first got it a few months back. I rode my friends 07' and it was incredibly smooth acceleration. What can i do/change to help this? The obvious stuff is quick acceleration kits, power commander and so on...but if anyone has any further info...GREATLY appriciated. Thanks!

thats called "chopping your throttle".
that jerkiness will always be there...especially in the low gear range.
especially in the way you described doing it.

not sure why the 07 didnt do it. ive ridden an 07 many times. and
if you do the same...the "jerk" is real harsh compared to my 05.
its a bad habit bro...be careful. it can really bite you in the curves!!

my advice is try not doing that and practice better/smoother throttle control.

chain should be right at the edge of the loose side so the suspension has full travel. no more

also make sure the cush drives are not damaged.
