Whew, for $350 I would have taken my time and done it myself. If you have the warranty still, why not take it back to the shop? Like you, I've read of this problem the site. I'm not sure what the answer would be. But I just purchased an HID kit and a HID relay kit from Tripage, so hopefully I'll avoid the problem you're having. But if I do, I'll be waiting for someone who can post an answer to this problem. Sorry I can't provide one.

Ouch! Thats not good. First, I'd take the bike back and have them un-do what they screwed up or have them re-do it (if you trust them)

If not, check out these awesome posts to DIY:

There is a TON of great help on this site for the HID's; just do a search for "HID's."

Good luck!

What kind of HID's are they? Sounds like a bad ballast or igniter if it works sometimes.

I am having the same problems? Anyone else? I am wondering if it is a low voltage problem, and once the bike is running the increase in voltage, or restrike makes them work.

It still has to be the ballasts/igniters problem then. My HID's turn on fine with the bike not running just fine. Been this way for months.
