Nice, first real review I've seen. Always been a fan of Iron Man, and it looks like they've kept it pretty close to the comic for the main ideas. The trailer has really got me going, Downey looks to play the part like he was born for it.

Comics are awesome, I don't collect them anymore but when I see movies like this and videogames I feel like that 8yr old kid I was again. I do buy the graphic novels once in awhile though, which are like a series of comics in one.

Can't wait to see Edward Norton do Banner in the new Hulk, and whenever Wolverine kicks off. The Dark Knight is gonna be badass as well.

Probably go see this tonite or tomorrow for sure.

Downey does play the role well. I just got back from watching it. From start to end it's a good movie!

It's definitely better than Spiderman/XMen/Fantastic Four, but I still think Batman Begins is in a league of its own.

SPOILERS (I didn't think it was a big deal, but apparently it is - I never read the comic books)

Stark comes home to find Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) of S.H.I.E.L.D. staring out his window. Says something along the lines of "You're not the only superhero in the world" and that he wanted to talk to Stark about the "Avengers Initiative".

Saw this one last night, its fooking awesome!!! I normally don't like superhero movies too much because they are so cheesy, but this one is badass! I'd see it again.

I've seen it twice. Downey nailed the character Stark. Him as a playboy alcoholic was perfect. Lots of foreshadowing for the sequel(s) too (which they greenlit before this was even released!) It's planned as a trilogy I believe.

Well first off this is a good plain and simple. I took a chick who didnt know what iron man was and she liked it.

a bit of a spoiler

my favorite thing about the movie is how Iron man is not all Mr nice guy. When he went on his first mission to the village and killed all the bad guys then left the leader to be dealt with by the village people.

I keep hearing its going to be good, but I'm having a hard time believing it (the last one was just so horrible). It does have Edward Norton as Bruce Banner though, so that gives me some hope. Downey Jr. is also on the cast as Tony Stark, so maybe we will see an Iron Man cameo.
