Tony Jaa's "The Protector"

Not much of a plot to this movie. Boy is brought up to be the guardian of the sacred elephants, elephants get stolen. Guy goes out on a quest to find his elephants.

Thats it. You arent seeing this movie for the plot. You are seeing it for Tony Jaa's unbelievable stunt work. The only wire work in the whole movie is seen in the TV preview, where Jaa jumps off a roof and hits someone actually hanging from a wire. Other than that there are no wires in this movie. Just Tony Jaa beating the holy hell out of people. The coolest part of the movie isnt even that shot you have seen of Jaa running up the glass window and backfliping off, while the ATV drives through. As cool as that shot it, its not the best one.

Best parts of the movie are a mud bath scene with some really cute girl and an uncut shot that lasts about 7-8 minutes. The shot is Jaa going from the ground floor of a building up to the top beating people up trying to find his elephants.

If you like martial arts movies, then check it out in the theater. If not, then its probably not for you.

yeah, i thought the story kept on jumping and stuff...

but i like ong-bak better than this movie...

the best part of the movie is when he's...yeah..all those guys get their siht fcuked up! that must have been 50 people...and yeah...

i give the protector a "B", if you like this movie...you'd like Ong-bak better...better story, better cinematography...better stunt coordinator and better stuntmen

check out Jet Li's Fearless, way better, amazing and 'fairly' realistic fight scenes for a martial arts master.
