TRANSFORMERS review

So I saw TRANSFORMERS last night at the Woodland Hills premier and thought I'd share my $.02...

I'm a Spidey fan more than Transformers per se, but even I'd admit this flat smoked S-M 3. For a "Guy Flick", it was all that. Great action, unreal special effects (better than the Matrix flicks, S-Ms, and dare I say, even Star Wars) and a good story with a lot of relief humore as well.

Now, no movie is perfect, and this one had a few "ghey" scenes to keep the women happy, but that was honestly, very short, less than 4 minutes total if you compressed it. The rest was pure violence, mayhem and arse kicking, excellent job.

I'd really be hard pressed to think there will be guys here (or anywhere) that will walk away from this movie dissapointed, it was that good.

As for the integrating TRANSFORMERS more into the "real" world, they did a great job. The GM "sellout" was a bit of a bummer, but not that big of a deal.

Very Good Movie and two thumbs WAY UP!!!

Any question, feel free to ask and I'll PM them to you so as to not "spoil" the movie for everyone else.

I'm sorry, should have been more clear. There was a premier for "friends and family" of Paramount/DreamWorks employees. There was also an even earlier premier (2 weeks ago!) but that was sales/marketing only so no "regular" folk allowed!

Forgot to mention Aprilia gets a nice plug at the end (too bad it wasn't a CBR...)

sweet man, thanks. i can't wait.

i'm hate the GM sellout too. product placement in movies is sooo distracting. "hum....they are all driving the same car....bad guys ina cadilac SUV chasing good guys in a CTS...i wonder why that is?" ghey.

Sorry but trust me, it is towards the beginning and you see it coming waaaaaay before it even gets a remote chance of being a suprise.

I'll use more discretion in the future.

And side note, it was plenty good enough for me to go out and spend my money seeing it again opening weekend!

Fantastic Four is a Dodge sellout. Their flying car has Dodge RAM symbols all over it.

Which Theatre in Woodland Hills was showing the premier?

Awesome. So you loved it too?

I admit there are a couple of lovey/corny scenes/script, but overall, very little no?

And what did you think of the Aprilia plug?

I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10
