30 Days of Night
Saw this last night. Great movie... if your idea of a good movie means being bored as hell.
That was, without a doubt, the worst movie I've seen in at least the last 10 years. It was boring as hell. The scenes that were supposed to be scary and gory were just funny. The audience was laughing at most of it, which would be cool, except its not a comedy. Not only is it boring, but they felt the need to drag it our for 2 hours when it could've easily been 90 minutes or less without losing any of the storyline. The vampires were silly looking and the whole plot about a town in Alaksa being cut off because its dark for 30 days is ridiculous. Yeah, theres towns in Ak that are dark for a month straight... even two months in some places, but it doesn't effect the town much at all. Planes still come and go. Business continues as usual.
The makeup was awful too. The vampires had pale faces, hands, etc, but theres a scene when they're fighting one of them and his coat and shirt are open and his neck and chest are just flesh colored. The morons didn't even bother to put the pale makeup on lower than his face.
I was very close to walking out which has only happened to me once or twice in my entire life. I saw at least a half a dozen people leave.
"It seemed like a good idea at the time."
