Angry Grand Prix of Japan postponed

Grand Prix of Japan postponed

Monday, 19 April 2010

Due to the air travel issues caused across Europe by the volcanic eruption in Iceland, the decision has been taken to postpone the race weekend at Motegi which was scheduled to take place from April 23rd-25th.

The recent volcanic eruption in Iceland has caused an ash cloud that has halted all international air travel in and out of Europe.

This situation has prompted the Grand Prix Permanent Bureau which is comprised of FIM President Mr Vito Ippolito and Dorna Sports CEO Mr Carmelo Ezpeleta, with the agreement of the Grand Prix Promoter, Mobilityland Corporation, to postpone the Grand Prix of Japan which was originally scheduled for April 25th, 2010.

The Grand Prix Permanent Bureau has subsequently proposed a rescheduled date for the event of October 3rd, 2010 to the FIM.

Thankfully it's only one week until the Spanish GP.

Im with thingamajiggs, it looks like I will be relying on my DVR to get me through the next few weeks. I think that I even have some WSBK from last year to watch again.

I also have the superbike race from last week at Road Atlanta, but I already know who won that one due to the announcer during the Daytona Supersport race yelling it out!! Jackass!!

2004 Cessna Citation CJ3
2001 S2000 - New Formula Red (Retired)
2007 S2000 - New Formula Red
2005 Honda CBR600RR - Black

So therefore...
NO 2011 Ducati 848EVO - Dark
But ... I do have a new Dyson vacuum.

I recorded it. Watched it the next day and it was Bullrun. I was pissed. Now I know why...

I have been in Iraq for 2004-2005, 2006-2007-2008, 2009-2010.

Well I heard of some teams actually went to Japan and back (Repsol being one of them) for team meetings and testing on those dates. I still cant believe a volcano stopped the race.
