I used to ride in an hjc and never had that problem. Have it with my current shark though if I turn my head at trackspeeds.

If that's the case, then it does suck. But this is how it always goes. He'll creep closer and closer until he finally gets a win. And then the championship.

No racer should have to deal with that crap, no matter what level of racing they're in.

Though, it is kinda odd Spies isn't complaining. He'll probably just switch helmet styles, since it's obvious the locking mechanism on the front is crap.

Sorry, but $500k won't get my head in a helmet with a chance of getting the riders shredded rubber flung into my eye at 100+ mph.

I guess next season will be Fiat and maybe AGV to complete the replacement of Rossi.

Just adjust the helmet to stay closed, it's easy to do, make the adjustment so tight you can't open it with wind.

No reason to have it open anyways while riding on the track.. T
Sucks that it happened but some duct tape will fix it... I will take the 500,000 and give him a solution but won't say anything as well if I was getting paid that much. T

i would suspect PART of it has to do with contracts

i wonder what it would cost him with hjc to say "i could have done better, but the helmet was messing with me"

not only do i suspect hjc would have smacked him around, any other potential sponsors, for a new rider would be leary of his potential to speak out against them and or their products...

it is a business after all

i would suspect behind closed does, he and his team are ripping into hjc

If that would be a possibility, why the hell does Stoner, Biagi, and Edwards still have sponsors?

Eventhough Spies is a rookie, he has to have some leverage on HJC. Yes, he's a rookie in MotoGP but you can't discount he was just a World Superbike Champion. I can only imagine how many helmet manufacturers are knocking on his door but Spies is declining out of obligation and respect.

What I've learned about sponsors, never burn your bridges because they are the ones paying you. It seems Spies has a lot of respect with sponsors and will talk it out behind closed doors rather than bad mouth them.

Spies is by no means a rookie. To MotoGP he is, but not to racing motorcycles.

Stoner's first year in MotoGP he bashed on everything. Hell, when he was racing 125cc in the UK and Australia he was complaining left and right.

Go watch some of the old 2006 races.

Though as a spoiler, just replace Ducati with LCR and the GP10 with the RC211v. Nearly identical seasons.

Still, who the hell edited my images together?
