That would require Laguna to move their date a few weeks to the summer break. That way Dorna could leave the equipment here instead of shipping it to the next round and then turn around and ship it right back for Indy. They would also have to give up running all 3 AMA classes, both of which Laguna was unwilling to do. It sucks. Tdub
I went to Laguna last year. We traveled from Atlanta, saw San Jose, San Fran, Monterrey, camped in the redwood forest, etc. The trip was great. But, we didn't even watch the AMA races. I could go to Barber (or maybe Road Atlanta if it makes the calendar) if I wanted to see them, but why would I? It's slower bikes, stupid rules, and ridiculous management.
My money this year will go to Indy if I get the chance. You don't get the amazing California views and experiences, but you do get two classes that are really cool and it will be significantly cheaper.
Honestly, I felt cheated at Laguna. Not having the support classes means I basically spent 4 grand to see one race that I actually cared about.
I can say I've seen the corckscrew, now I want to see the moto2 class (the best class in racing IMHO).
