WorldSBK testing in Portimao

Man Johnny Rea has been killing it on the '11 CBR1000RR. Other than Smrz throwing up a fast lap on the Ducati... Rea has been on top of the speed charts for both sessions of this test so far.

I'm getting excited!!

Smrz is able to turn fast laps fairly regularly, it is running a consistent race pace that he has a problem with.

Haga needs to gel w/his damn bike!!!

No video, but it updates every 15-30 seconds or so, so you can see the split lap times and whatnot.

great!?!? now rea will have even more to chat himself up about............

certainly talented, but to believe you're the story, when spies was literally winning his 1st & possibly last wsbk championship. i'd say you're a bit out of touch with reality.
riders doing their talking on the track is what really speaks volumes & so far he hasn't had the maturity to control his emotions whenever really pushing it. ie. he goes down frequently.
nothing wrong with being prideful about something you're skilled at, he typically has excuses though, whenever not performing up to par. aka biaggis' excuse book he found in motogp locker room

race/ride support 2004 & beyond

"fall down seven times, get up eight"

" can't stop stupid sir, i can only slow it down....."

Not a big fan of Rea anyways.

“Haga ran quite wide and I went on the inside and, although I didn't see him I felt a big bang and only found out he crashed after the race. I'm sorry for that but don't think it was my fault and I wouldn't blame him.”

Haga obviously contributed to his failure to win the title that year, but Rea's little transgression certainly didn't help.
