Hotels

Alright, im doing this kinda last minute... but i've decided I'll be coming down to Seca this year for the whore gathering and memorial respect for Chenhan. I'd like to know where everyone is staying and where a good location to get a hotel is. I heard Canary Row is the party spot but all the hotels are pretty much taken.

Well.. to be honest.. 2 weeks out.. best place to stay is... whereever you can get a room at. MotoGP and Salinas Rodeo = SOLD OUT!

Maybe you can get a decent room. If you can get anything in Monterey, Seaside, Carmel or Salinas... or other option is the bigger cities north.

Good Luck Bro.

I live in san jose, about hour and a half away, so here is where you should look,

morgan hill, about an hour away, just a straight 101 shot,

gilroy about 45 min,

holister about 45 min

watsonville, those will be the cheapest hotels, of course you will have to wake up early to get there hit me up if you need some info,

call blue sky lodge in carmel valley
http://www.blueskylodge.com/

it's about 15 miles from track & in a somewhat quieter place than cannery row. take laureles grade road south to carmel valley road, turn left (east); go about 4-5 miles & take a left (north) just past 'running iron' a restaurant & bar. it's just below blue sky, that also has decent food. IF you wanna party @ cannery, have a designated driver or plan on an expensive cab ride back out to carmel valley

i have no idea what's booked & not......
via their website, appears they have opening both, saturday & sunday available, just not friday. IF you're having a lot of trouble getting something in monterey or closer, look @ what's available in Marina,CA they usually don't book out, due to being about 30 minutes or so from seca

cheers
