rentals at laguna

Hi all, it is probably age old question in bit more refined way:
I am considering the CBR600RR or similar purchase after riding for about 6months on CBR500R. But no-one would let me ride including couple of friends who supersport, dealers and shops etc., Well as for as buddies, I havent specifically asked them and havent had a meeting often.
I looked around san jose area for rentals however rental companies seem to rent only cruiser and tourers. One option is at race track. Looked through laguna seca web site and has rental options for a full day. What do you think of the prospect of renting supersport at this facility? Do I have to contact the particular club?

I found specific info regarding riding one's own bike one has to contact the clubs listed on the raceway's schedule but not specific info on rentals.

Can someone give info on this?
Thanks and appreciate in advance!!!

To rent a bike during a trackday, I know of these three options:
Ninja 250 at Thunderhill Raceway (San Franciso-ish)
http://www.feellikeapro.com/

Various bikes including the CBR600 at Fontana (Los Angeles)
http://xtrememotorcyclerental.com/track.htm

BMW S1000RR (Many tracks, but in California they ride Sonoma, Laguna Seca, and Willow Springs "Streets")

Since I am in bay area, fontana in la and sinc I am targeting for cbr600rr, I am not interested in 250 for now. i ride cbr500r currently.
googled and found the link:
http://www.rental-motorcycle.com/nam...ea_rental.html
They aint got 600rr. But similar size models and some liter bikes are available like s1000rr, gsxr etc., Ranging from around 150$-200$. Might be I will try one of those.

Kegwins track days used to rent (or have available for rental) 600's.(Yamaha's)

(I have not run across a place that rents Honda's.....)

he may have several days scheduled for Laguna Seca......

I understand "test ride", but what exactly is your ? about these bikes?

Imagine your 500 with more muscle and speed, and you will have a good idea what these machines are like.

Are you looking to just test ride a bike, or test a bike at laguna specifically?

Basically looking to test out. Does not matter whether track or street. I just wanna to get a "feel" of it before I commit to purchase one.

If you have money ready I would suggest looking on craigslist. Most people on there would let you take their bike for a ride as long as you have money in hand. Some people will let you ride it with partial money in hand, it just depends on who you talk to.

When I showed up to buy the bike I wanted I had no money, the guy said in his post that you would need the full amount to test ride it, but the guy let me ride it anyways.

Probably your best bet.

If you go to a Honda dealership, you should be able to schedule a test ride.
