the races were awesome over the weekend, I was sitting in T1

what was cool about the weekend for me was I sat behind the Vice President of M4 exhausts on the plane ride from Dallas to SLC, he introduced me to several of the riders and I got to hang out in several of the team garages, great stuff
anyway the facilities are great (the parts that are finished at least) and AMA Supermoto was there, so watching them ride around the kart track was awesome

the track has a few problems, transportation sucked, there were too many random people in the paddock that don't even know who any of the riders are or whats going on, the podium stuff is above the garages where the fans can't even see, and worst of all the cornerworkers have issues

part of that problem is spacing, one rider crashed on Friday and it took the cornerworkers like 5 minutes to get to him (way more for the crash truck or ambulance if it had been needed), thats ridiculous imo it shouldn't take more than 10 seconds to get to a crashed rider
then there was the f'ed up red flag in the second superbike race, AMA says a cornerworker saw oil on the track after a rider crashed (I think it was Jake Holden) but a guy I was sitting with in the grandstands was talking over a radio to one of the cornerworkers and the story he got was that the red flag was initiated at a totally different corner and that the cornerworker thought he saw a small object lying in the track and didn't know which flag to throw so he pulled out the red
anyway its a new track so of course there are issues to be sorted out but future races there should get much better

oh yeah I only took one picture, so here it is:
