Great find, first time hearing of a British GP bike.

Next year is going to be very interesting.

"For me, the problem is that big part of MotoGP riders now are pussies,"Rossi declared. "In the past, this is normal, the riders were more like real men. Now it is more like they are children."

Don’t you think they would have bought out the track day?
I was under the impression that companies would buy out the track for testing.

that's what i'm saying...doesn't speak very well for the financial position of the team.

Bingo.

Of course maybe they're just trying to be super cunning and thrifty. To be honest if I were them I wouldn't rule out doing the same. After all, what do they have to lose if the current factory teams see their bike? I doubt any of them would look at their bike and go back to the drawing board.

It'll be interesting hearing the story behind it. Supposedly the Pons team was going to partner with Ilmor but I wonder who's building the chassis?

According to grandprix.com, Ilmor is looking to build an 800cc engine for use in MotoGP. (http://www.grandprix.com/ns/ns15961.html) No word on who's biting. Could be they shoehorned it into a current road going bike. Might be King Kenny's answer.

No. Per the rules, no components may be shared between a GP bike and a production bike.
