Moto GP 2017 Round 6 Mugello ***SPOILER***

Been a tough week with the loss of Nicky :( very emotional SBK race at Silverstone.... He will never be forgotten, still hard to believe he is gone, i wished i could have met him :(

Vale getting hurt just added to the week, im very happy to see he is ok and will race Sunday. After last year i hope to see him take the win at his home track :) Should be a good one!

About the circuit

Located 30km north-east of Florence in the beautiful countryside of Tuscany, Mugello is a modern circuit with excellent facilities. Bought by Ferrari back in 1988, the 5.245km track has been renovated to a high standard and has a growing reputation as one of the world’s most up-to-date, scenic and safest race circuits.

A blend of slow and fast turns with sweeping curves, long straights and off-camber corners make Mugello one of the most challenging circuits for the riders and engineers. Having hosted its first MotoGP event back in 1976 the venue became a permanent fixture in 1991 after extensive refurbishment. Set within a beautiful tree lined Tuscan valley, Mugello also offers ample viewing areas for a particularly boisterous and partisan Italian crowd.

Andrea Dovizioso wins his home Italian MotoGP for Ducati, ahead of Yamaha title leader Maverick Vinales and Pramac's Danilo Petrucci.

Valentino Rossi, riding with chest and stomach injuries from a motocross training accident last week, fought with the lead group throughout on his way to fourth place.

Reigning world champion Marc Marquez was never a contender at the front and lost out to Alvaro Bautista for fifth. Repsol Honda team-mate Dani Pedrosa took Cal Crutchlow on the final lap, while trying to pass the Englishman for 11th.

Fun race to watch!

But this is a weird championship... Like, every race seems to favor a different team. It's probably Michelin related, the tyre compounds they bring are rumored to be very very different, it it's probably the team that figures them out, who wins.

seems to be the case yeah... season is a third over, maverick certainly looks strong at this point even with his DNF.. Vale and Marc will need to start finishing ahead of him if they have any hope to win this year.. Maverick keeps on winning and increasing his lead it will be very difficult to overcome even for them. Lots of racing left still, i wonder how Dani can respond after his off..
