Moto GP 2017 Round 18 Valencia ***SPOILER***

Well this is it, final round, Marc a massive 21 pt lead, Simple - Dovi MUST Win, (he has never been on podium here) even if Dovi wins, Marc can finish as low as P11 to take title. Whatever the outcome Dovi has had an amazing season, Marc has had the consistancy and it has paid off, gotta think if he didnt have that engine blowout he would have already taken the title..... Be safe guys, gonna miss Moto GP long winter break :( but what a season this has been!!!!

Valencia, Spain
The Gran Premio de la Comunitat Valenciana has been held every year at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo since the World Championship first visited the Spanish track in 1999, the same year the venue construction was completed. The event has become the traditional end of season finale, with huge crowds at the 150,000 capacity circuit creating a brilliant atmosphere.

The stadium-style nature of the stands around the track means the whole of the circuit can be viewed by the fans as the annual MotoGP™ fiesta reaches a crescendo. There are corners at the circuit named after two great Spanish riders; Jorge Martinez Aspar and Angel Nieto. Both of them contributed significantly to the profile of Grand Prix motorcycle racing in Spain and around in the world

Yes the engine failure! Arghhh! But Marc I trust has a good strategy, who knows though there are going to be some guys out there going for broke, Dovioaso obviously being a threat who, along with his team, is really on fire.
Best wishes to everyone for a safe race. Respect and gratitude for all who make it happen.

marquez isn't dumb. he'll ride a strategic race, get himself in a position where it's an easy ride, nothing immediately threatening around. i expect to see him 3rd or 4th. just easy cruising for the championship

As is his style, find the limit he did. And of course pushes a bit beyond, and another amazing Marquez save!

Well what a way to end this season :) crazy! Marc takes the championship , his 6th 4th in prem class in 5 years ! an unbelievable feat!!!!! Want to say congrats to Dovi for giving us an amazing season, he will be back and stronger than ever next season! Also gotta say congrats to Dani, poor old Dani wins yet again and nobody cares haha, he raced a great race here, so congrats to him, he also takes fourth in the championship! Zarco finishing strong, what a season he has had wow! Lets all hope the Factory yams can figure it out for next year. That's it :( will be a long off season. A farewell to Nick Harris , will miss hearing his voice. #BIG6

Race results from the 2017 Valencia MotoGP, round 18 of 18.

MotoGP
Marc Marquez is the 2017 MotoGP world champion after a fall for rival Andrea Dovizioso in today's Valencia MotoGP, which was won by Dani Pedrosa from Johann Zarco.

Dovizioso had to win the race to have any chance of snatching the title from Marquez, who saved a massive moment at turn one just before Dovizioso ran wide and fell.

The Ducati rider spent the race staring at the rear wheel of team-mate Jorge Lorenzo, in fourth, who was repeatedly told by Ducati to let Dovizioso by. Lorenzo crashed out just before his team-mate's exit, both on lap 25 of 30.

The Ducati disaster put Marquez, who had just taken the lead from Zarco when he suffered the turn one scare, up into third place. Team-mate Pedrosa then overtook Zarco for victory at the start of the final lap.

Zarco's Tech 3 team-mate Jonas Folger was again replaced by Michael van der Mark. Aprilia's Aleix Espargaro was returning from a hand injury at Phillip Island. KTM test rider Mika Kallio and Ducati test rider Michele Pirro were making their latest wild-card appearances.

KTM's Pol Espargaro began the race from pit lane after exceeding nine engine changes for the season.

An official test will be held back at the Valencia circuit on Tuesday and Wedsnesday...
