Our First Time @ Laguna

Ok so this will be our first time to Laguna. We are just purely winging it. We don't have a place to stay, (cause we scraped up the money for tickets) we don't know what there is to do up there, but we are stoked.
Any chance we still have fun, and enjoy ourselves or are we in for a disaster?
If anyone has any suggestions let us know. I don't care if we sleep in the car in someones driveway.

we winged it back in '05. there are little 'under the radar' motels that might have rooms available still, the kind that you can't book online- hotels listed on the internet will always get booked first. just drive around and knock on a few doors. head to cannery row saturday night, that's bike night. maybe friday night too. the city buses will take you to the track for free, just look for the bus stop signs that say "laguna" on them and park your car next to one and jump out. that's all i can think of for now... good luck, and enjoy!
