Randy moving to LCR Honda

Hello and welcome to one of the most interesting silly seasons in recent memory. Current Kawasaki MotoGP rider Randy de Puniet has signed a two year deal to race for the LCR Honda team.

Current Suzuki man John Hopkins is signed to Kawasaki for 2008 and Loris Capirossi will be leaving Ducati to race a Suzuki.

More rider changes are expected to be announced soon.

de Puniet rode for the LCR team as a 250 rider.

ENDS

He's not going to the 250's. He's staying in motogp.

So who's going to be at Kawi next year? I know Hopper is going there, what about West and Nakano?

I wonder if this means LCR will have two bikes or if Checa is out for next season. Hopefully its not the latter.

Randy should go back to the 250s. There are other plenty of riders I can think of that are better than RDP.

Checa is out. He's had more than enough time in GP and on factory teams to prove his worth. Time to make room for the young guns.

For DePuniet this is make or break time. He is leading Moto GP in crashes this season so he's going to need to settle down and put some results together otherwise he's going to have to look for employment in another championship.

it's hard to imagine Rossi running Bridgestones but that's only if FIM & Dorna decide not to revert back to the previous tire rule, just bring as much tire as you'll need for the race weekend, no limits to quantity but there should be a time limit where you can't bring in anymore.

Honestly I don't think allowing unlimited tires would help Michelin so much. Under the current rules tires are unlimited for wet races and Bridgestone has won both wet races this year and took 5 out of the 6 podium spots. When it rained for the Assen qualifying they took the top 5 spots.

I think Michelin is having trouble performing because their former Moto GP director left and the new guy isn't doing a good job. Really Michelin has no excuse because they should have extra personnel, expertise, and facilities free since they're not in F1 this year. They should not be getting their asses beat by Bridgestone.
