That was expected. There was no way Repsol would have let him go.

He is not signed to Repsol he is signed to HRC. There is no way Dani would have left. Because at this point, where was he gonna go? To be the third rider on some other team? No, he was pretty much painted into corner and had to sign sooner or later, unless he wanted to screw up his 2008 season somehow.

Yes, thanks for clarifying that. But my point still stands, there was no way Repsol, a Spanish firm, would let Dan, a Spanish rider, walk away from the Repsol/Honda team.

Checa was riding slow on track apparently in Stoner's way. Stoner comes by and kicks at him and proceeds with the fist waving. Probably similar to Checa and Hopper at Laguna. I'll have to watch it when I get home.

Hahaha I just got a look at it. Stoner was rolling up on Checa at speed and Checa, whilst cruising, changed his line and Stoner almost ran into the back of him. Stoner kicked at him (didn't make contact), did some fist shaking, flipped him off, then pulled him to the pits. Looked like he was cursing...:icon_lol:

hahha yea, Stoner was gesticulating, banging at his tank, and generally not in a good mood :)

Understandable, considering the speeds these guys go.

ROSSI seems to be having some trouble as well. His motor was pouring smoke and his tires were still iffy. Hopefully he's got some good compounds left to test tomorrow. PEDROSA might podium again this weekend.

Should be a sight to see. Stoner doesnt look too good at Motegi as well.

Stoner doesn't look like he is going to annihilate everyone but he seems to be in fairly good shape. Rossi came back in a BIG way in FP3 in the last 2 or 3 laps of the session. Same with Nicky, he was down in about 10th spot when he jumped up to 3rd at the very end. Come to think of Dani jumped up late in the session too.

Who knows how its going to play out, I think its anyone's race but it seems like Pedrosa is the strongest thus far.

Guys/Gals may I make a suggestion. Let's keep the Kenny/Kurtis Roberts comments to ourselves. I am sure we have no idea what it takes to run a MotoGP team. Yes we know he is struggling but he is far from a loser. It takes a lot of entrance money to get into a sport like MotoGP. Give the guy some credit. I praise him for having the heart to go out there every race and put his ass and machinery on the line. KR obviously doesn't have the ridiculous budgets that the factory teams do but that doesn't mean he isn't giving it his all out there.

Anybody have a link. I saw the actual practice session but thought it was KR and not Checa, although Checa did pull the same stunt at Laguna Seca.
