New CBR600RR Owner

Hello, everyone. My name is Thinh, a new rider from SoCal, and I just recently purchased a crashed 2003 CBR600RR. I've been lurking for a few months now, but I finally decided to make an account. Here she is when I picked her up, as well as her after I fixed her up.

I look forward to talking/riding with y'all.

Thanks for your time!

Nice!
Do you have progress photos/info of the rebuild?

I do love a fellow blue RR :)

Hey all,

Thanks for love! The rebuild itself was mainly exterior/cosmetic for the most part. The entire rear subframe was destroyed, so it was a nice learning experience to change that out since I am pretty new to working on bikes. Stock clip ons were snapped off, so I took this advantage of this and got some Woodcraft 1" ones. Exhaust was destroyed, so I replaced with a brand new Yoshimura. Replaced the clutch cover, oil changed, and changed out to a gold EK 525 chain. Else wise, just a bunch of small stuff like new sidemarkers, Tripage 1000RR style mirrors with the turn signal, HIDs, frame sliders, blue grips, and new aftermarket fairings of course.

Currently looking to now change out my clunky and partially messed up brake fluid reservoir. Debating if I should just go with an 07 style master or spend the money and get a Brembo 19 RCS.

By the way, I love your avatar icon; is that the reverse illumiglow gauge? I debated about doing that as well; I really like the look!

Nice work!! It looks good.
I did the gauges myself with some LEDs I had lying around from other projects

Erm they're the tiny square surface mount LEDs, can't remember how many but there is a how to guide somewhere. I'll take a look when back from travelling on Sun

Here's the link that I used: https://www.600rr.net/vb/103-03-06-r...om-gauges.html

However in that, the OP says how to change all the LEDs... but I just wanted to change the backlight ones, not the individual ones like for high beam, neutral, etc.

This is my brief description, although sadly have lost most of my original pics
