I'm new to the bike world and just got a 2012 cbr and I've rode it for a couple days here and there and now it just turns over and wont fire any help would be appreciated thanks
Welcome matey, does your bike run through its start up procedure , any fault lights and..........have you got the killswitch in the run position:wink2:
I found out it's the kill switch something must be loose inside of it if I play with it a bit it runs and starts up so looks like I'll be getting a new switch or pull it a part
Yes it is quite normal to get this, Dirt/weather can get in and gum up the Mechanism, I rarely use the kill switch and always stop the engine with just the ignition off:wink2:
meatybeaty is correct, there's an issue w/killswitch on 07+ models years......search OTF for "Killswitch issues" and similar "bike won't start" threads?
take switch apart and clean copper contact surfaces, reassemble with a bit of die-electric lube. This usually corrects the problem.....
Also as posted above, use the key ignition switch for normal engine stop.
