Hey, I use to be on here a long time ago but had to make a new account. I have a mint 2005 CBR 600rr with about 8800 kilometres (5500 miles) that I bought new in 2005 as a wedding gift to myself..lol. Thats how I keep track of my anniversary. Ha ha. Time for new tires finally, still have the originals ones on (crazy I know) but got a sharp rock in the rear one. Bought some Dunlop Q3+ and was just reading the forum to look for help for wheel removal. So Hi to all the fellow riders.
Do you have front and rear stands? If you don't have a triple tree front stand, you'll need some way to suspend the front of the bike. Removing the brake calipers, loosening axle nuts, sliding the wheels out (pulling the chain off the rear sprocket) ... wheel removal is pretty easy and there are lots of videos on youtube. I'd watch a few of them to get an idea, but the multiple bikes I've worked on were all pretty similar for wheel removal.
