Synthetic and Filter Recommendations?

First time changing oil in my recently bought 07 600rr. What are the "goto" filters and recommended synthetic oils for a 600rr?. (Links would be a plus ).

Ive seen K&N filters being thrown around the forums though do not know much about them.

(Also another question). Ive read differents between petroleum oil vs synthetic and want to go with a synthetic oil. Is there any special procedures to do if converting to synthetic. I have no idea whats in my motorcycle atm but just wanted to make sure it wouldnt explode into a million pieces going with synthetic.

Its the 5w-40.

Just did quick read and apparently it should be fine As long as i dont live in 110+F weather. Ive seen alot of people say they use it, just want to make sure this is the exact one used.

BTW i was looking here.. https://www.600rr.net/vb/90-oil-lube/...iesel-oil.html

I recently used a Ryco Z436 oil filter, I believe it is for a Subaru Liberty. Checked dimensions, seam diameter, outside diameter, thread etc, was about $12. The OEM one here is about $28 from stealership.

Oil I just used Penrite 5W-40 HPR5 oil, was 10L for $100 so did car and bike.

I use T6 and OEM filters. You shouldn't have anything to worry about, although some have stated that running T6 can ruin your cat(s) if you burn oil. Can anyone confirm or debunk (or have any anecdotes)?
